OWRC held its Second Annual Spring Fundraising Party at Rivers Edge Restaurant in Benedict, MD this year and we are happy to report an outstanding success! OWRC family and friends plus new supporters met on May 16th and enjoyed pleasant company, a beautiful setting, scrumptious food, and lovely music. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect event. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all our attendees. Your support means the world to us. We couldn't have had such a wonderful party without the incredible team at Rivers Edge Restaurant. Everyone was so helpful, tending to our every need. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Manager Karen was an angel. And as if they hadn't done enough to support OWRC by hosting a Wildlife Rescue Fundraiser Day with 10% of the day's profits donated for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, Rivers Edge also gave us a gift basket of wine and a restaurant gift card for us to raffle. To top off a splendid evening, we were entertained by Ron and his talented musical friends Debbie, Sue, Fran, and Rocky. One of our guests even ran home for his guitar to join the fun. For those who weren't able to be there, we have added a portion of the last song of the evening for your enjoyment. After a session of amazing rock and roll, Ron requested one of his favorite songs.
