Ever wonder what we do with the towels you donate?

Letter from Doc Wexler

Dear Friend,

Once again, it is time to reflect on our wildlife rescue efforts for a season past and I am pleased to report a very successful year.

Each year we receive and rescue more than 1500 animals with a 94% success rate. We are able to accomplish this because of our many dedicated volunteers and sponsors. Currently, we have nine veterinarians, eleven licensed master rehabbers, two new interns, two transporters, and we are still a 100% volunteer organization.

We need your help financially, and hope that you will be able to make a tax-deductible donation as we face the challenges of the year ahead. OWRC's primary function is to rescue displaced, injured and orphaned wildlife, and to recruit and train new wildlife rehabbers and college interns.

Most people assume that we are government or state funded but this just isn't the case. There are zero funds available for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation from the state of Maryland. We solely rely on individuals like you to support our work.

If each of you who have made a donation in the past would donate $25.00 or more now, we will be able to purchase enough formula and pharmaceuticals to care for our orphaned babies this year. If you could tell just one friend, family member, or another animal lover about our work, we could possibly double our outreach efforts.

Please consider making a secure online donation today.

Thank you so much,
Doc Wexler
